If you are searching for a family holiday that’s a little bit different – look no further than Walnut Farm Glamping. With a young family ourselves we have designed our little Dorset haven to be the perfect place we would want to visit.
Set in 12 acres of beautiful West Dorset countryside our yurt holidays provide the perfect family playground where children run free whilst the adults enjoy a barbecue and a glass of wine.
Our 20ft yurts can easily accommodate a family of six, each has a luxurious super-king bed and we can put up to four single beds in for children. Our en-suite bathrooms with hot showers and flushing loos mean you won’t have to stumble around in the dark looking for the toilet at night.

Children love running around our farm – playing on the swing, building dens, climbing trees, looking for animals or playing sports and games on our old grass tennis court. Our natural swimming lake with boat is also a big hit - whether for diving, somersaulting, boating, swimming or simply dipping with a bucket to try and catch a newt!
We have a wood fired hot tub that can be hired and we host pizza evenings around our cob pizza oven - what better way to finish off after a day exploring and playing?!
We are just four miles from the Jurassic Coast, which offers an abundance of activities. Head for the safe, sandy, child friendly beaches at Weymouth and Lyme Regis or go for some fossil hunting at Charmouth Beach!
Go on a fishing trip or an exhilarating blast on a rib speedboat from West Bay. Leave your car at Eype and walk over the cliffs to Seatown where you can have lunch at the beach side Anchor Inn.
Local attractions include the incredible Abottsbury Gardens, Children’s Farm and Swannery, Monkey World near Dorchester and the Sea Life Centre in Weymouth.
There is a great range of things to do come rain or shine.
